Website hosting provider Squarespace has shut down the website of the group America’s Frontline Doctors following a press conference they held in Washington D.C., according to Dr. Simone Gold. According to a screenshot posted by Gold, the web hosting service shut down the group’s website for “activity that’s false, fraudulent, inaccurate or deceiving.”

Lisa Brosseau, ScD, is a nationally recognized expert on infectious diseases. Brousseau taught for many years at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She may be retired from the university, but she’s not retired from teaching. She recently cowrote an opinion piecethat drew a lot of notice: In it Brousseau argues that cloth masks offer no protection from COVID-19. As one might imagine, it drew a lot of attention and caused a fair amount of controversy. She recently sat down with Infection Control Today®to talk about her strong feelings about cloth masks and that data she used to reach her conclusions.

(CNN)Ten nurses were placed on administrative leave from Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California, for demanding they be given N95 masks while treating Covid-19 patients, two of the nurses told CNN.

Two nurses at PSJHC told CNN that they, along with eight other nurses, were suspended with pay after refusing to enter coronavirus patient rooms on April 9 without N95 masks.
The hospital said there were no N95 masks for them and insisted they wear surgical masks instead, the nurses said​, even though other healthcare workers at the hospital were provided N95 masks.
In a photo shared with CNN, taken after nurses refused to enter Covid patient rooms inside the facility, eight nurses are seen with seven raising their fists inside PSJHC.

"Unstoppable." That's the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses' 2019–2020 theme and, given the way nurses have had to battle against COVID-19, it seems that no better word has been chosen to describe nursing. While many Americans are sheltering in place due to stay-at-home orders, nurses and other healthcare professionals are heading to work each day to care for patients with and without COVID-19.
